Powerhouse Physiotherapy will get you back in action better, stronger and faster. We specialise in injury prevention, orthopaedic & exercise rehabilitation, sports & remedial massage and injury management.

Our team of experienced physiotherapists provide one-on-one consultations with an emphasis on prevention over cure. Of course if you are injured, we will use an evidence based approach to return you to your sport or activity feeling better, stronger and faster. Suzanne Goodall, Director Powerhouse Physio

Suzie began her career as a Registered Nurse before becoming a Sports Injury Nurse and Sports Physiotherapist. Suzie founded Powerhouse Physiotherapy in 2005 and now specialises in injury prevention and athlete rehabilitation. Suzie is the trusted physio for many local, national and international sporting teams.

Simon Rice

Simon began his career in the ACT prior to working in London with a variety of sporting teams and West End shows. He has published research on low back pain in cricket and has a strong interest in lower limb injuries, high-end return to sport and strength & conditioning. Simon is currently working with many sporting teams including ACTAS.

LIAM TOOHEY

Moving from private practice and sports physiotherapy work in Melbourne, Liam has made his way to Canberra to undertake his PhD at the AIS investigating subsequent athletic injuries. Liam has published research in hip strength assessment and has a strong interest in sports injuries, with a particular focus on returning to high performance and prevention of future injuries. Whether you are a weekend warrior or a professional athlete Liam will work with you to achieve your optimum outcomes and help to keep you injury free.

MATTHEW RODGERS

Matt moved across to the world of physiotherapy after kick-starting his career in the Fitness industry. Matt’s background in basketball (ABA League), distance running (including the New York Marathon), rugby league, union & AFL make him a great fit for amateur and professional athletes. With a strong focus on evidence-based practice, Matt specialises in promoting health, rehabilitation, pre-hab and he employs a wide range of treatments to ensure his clients perform at their best.

MITCHELL BOND

Mitchell focuses on evidence based physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation with the aim of helping you return to normal function as soon as possible whether it be for work, exercise or sport. Mitchell has strong interests in Rugby League, Touch Football (ACT Representative), AFL, Hockey and Cricket.

KRISTY HOGG

Kristy began her career in the fitness industry as a personal trainer before commencing her studies at university. She has worked and travelled across Australia before coming to Canberra in 2014. Over the past few years, Kristy has worked closely with local sporting teams in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Kristy is enthusiastic about helping all age groups achieve and maintain their best physical self!

Terry Leah

Terry moved from a career in the public service to a gym manager role before he transitioned to personal training, then sports training and soft tissue therapy.  Terry has worked privately as a soft tissue therapist and with several organisations as a soft tissue therapist and sports trainer.  His sporting experience includes work with teams from ACT touch football, Ainslie and ACTAFL, Canberra Junior Raiders and other sporting organisations.
